Tangi M. Gantt, Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Director

Tangi M. Gantt was born in Harbor City, California. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Social Work from Florida A & M University. She earned a Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Clark Atlanta University. Mrs. Gantt, a Guidance Counselor for Clayton County Public School System, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Co Founder of the All Grown Up Program. Some of her professional affiliations include: American Counseling Association, Atlanta Business Women’s Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Her hobbies include, mentoring teen females, traveling, reading, and aerobic activity. Mrs. Gantt believes “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life… as by the obstacles which he or she has overcome while trying to succeed.” Booker T Washington

Jan A. Johnson, Chief Operations Officer

Jan A. Johnson is originally from Chicago, IL. She attended Hampton University, Hampton, VA, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Jan attended Georgia State University and received a Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. She was also a Contractor Negotiator for the National Football Player’s Association for several years. Jan is currently employed as a Project Manager with a Fortune 500 company. Her affiliations include being a member of the Hampton University Alumni Association and the Junior League of Dekalb County. Her hobbies include singing and stamp collecting. Jan is always encouraged by the quote “If you want to lift yourself up, lift someone else.”- Booker T. Washington.

Zakiyya W. Whittle, Director of Special Events and Programming

Zakiyya Whittle is an Atlanta, Georgia native. She earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Elementary Education from Florida A & M University and a Master Degree (M. Ed.) in Administration and Supervision from the State University of West Georgia. Ms. Whittle is currently a teacher in the Clayton County Public School System. She also currently serves as Director of Programs of the All Grown Up Program. She began working with AGU in 1999. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (East Point / College Park Chapter) and serves in the Youth Ministry at New Birth South Metropolitan Church. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, exercising, and working with children. Ms. Whittle believes “If you can bring one moment of happiness into the life of a child, you are a coworker with God.” – Unknown

Natalie Britt, Director of Programs

Natalie Britt was born in Saint Louis, Missouri. Natalie is the youngest daughter of an electrician and retired educator. Growing up she was involved in many extracurricular activities such as drama, gymnastics, dance, swimming, and was very active with her church. In 1994, she moved to Atlanta to obtain a degree in Business Administration. After graduating she entered into corporate America by joining a major communications company. She currently works in project management. Natalie continues to be very active in her community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Atlanta Community Relations Team. Natalie is excited about contributing many of her experiences as a youth to AGU. She too was a part of many developmental programs such as the Girl Scouts, Minority Youth Entrepreneurship Program, The Chart Program (a math and science program), Hal Jackson’s Talented Teen’s Pageant, AKA Debutant Cotillion, and several more. Through these experiences and her corporate knowledge she will be able to present a well rounded perspective on life to AGU.

Rita Akiyode, Assistant Director of Global Operations

Rita Akiyode was born in Miami, Florida and was raised in the South Metro Atlanta area of Georgia. She attended Albany State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Studies. She also received her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Albany State University. She worked as a teacher for two years and is now working in the community providing skills training to adolescents. Her professional affiliations have included the American Counseling Association, American School Counselor Association, Georgia School Counselors Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her hobbies include working with youth, reading, and traveling.

Ensa L. Huger, Assistant Director of Accounting

Ensa L. Huger was born and raised in southern Metro Atlanta. In 2007 she received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia State’s Robinson College of Business. Ensa currently works as an Accounting Manager for AmericasMart in downtown Atlanta and is also the owner of Cathexis Consulting. Her hobbies include decorating, singing, dancing, traveling, writing and reading poetry and reaching out to people in her community. While in high school she was actually a participant in the All Grown Up program and has since gone on to serve in the role of program manager with several of the programs currently being offered. Through-out her life Ensa has seen the benefits of participating in programs such as Girl Scouts of America, marching band, dance core, Barbizon Youth Modeling troupe and National Honor Society. These organizations have allowed Ensa to gain valuable knowledge and friendships as well as travel the world with people who have become life long friends. It is with thing in mind that she dedicates herself to the youth in the Metro Atlanta community. Ensa strongly believes that “Success is not getting everything that you desire but being happy with all that you have.”

AGU Mission

The mission of the All Grown Up program is to positively impact the community by breaking the cycles of poverty and increasing self-esteem through health, social, educational, vocational, and financial literacy workshops that empower the development of teen and pre-teen females
